The fastest way to get an answer
Almost everyone who writes in opens with some version of “this is probably a silly question, but…” — and it almost never is. If something on the practice test or the study guide is confusing, broken, or looks wrong, we want to hear about it, because that is how the site gets better for the next person sitting where you are.
Email us at hello@servsafe-manager-practice.com. That address reaches the small team that actually builds and edits this site — not a ticket queue and not a bot. Write in plain language; you do not need to be technical for us to understand and fix the problem.
What to include so we can actually help
You do not have to do any of this for us to read your message. But when the goal is a fast, useful reply instead of a back-and-forth, a little context goes a long way. Here is the short version.
Tell us what you were trying to do
A sentence is enough — “I was taking the practice test” or “I was reading the cooling-temperatures section.” Context beats a perfect bug report every time.
Point to the page
Paste the link from your address bar, or just name the page. That tells us exactly where to look instead of guessing.
Say what looked wrong
A wrong-seeming answer, a typo, a link that goes nowhere, wording that reads unclear — all of it is fair game, and all of it is genuinely welcome.
What we can help with — and where to go instead
We are an independent study site, so there are a few things we simply are not the right source for. That is not a brush-off — routing you to the official source is the honest answer, and it saves you from acting on a number we cannot guarantee is current. Here is the plain map.
| Write to us about | Go to the official source for |
|---|---|
| A question, answer, or explanation that seems wrong | Your exam fee or current pricing — set by ServSafe and by format; see servsafe.com |
| A typo, broken link, or confusing wording on the site | The passing score, question count, or time limit — these are set by ServSafe and can change; check servsafe.com |
| Feedback on the app or how the practice deck behaves | Whether your state or county requires certification — confirm with your local health department |
| A general question about how to use the study materials | Your score, certificate, or account (“did I pass,” a lost certificate) — that lives in your servsafe.com account, not with us |
Before you write
Do you actually read every message?
Yes. It is a small team, so replies are not instant — usually a couple of days — but a real person reads what you send and, when it is a fix, gets it onto the site. If you flagged a genuine error, you have quietly helped everyone who studies here after you.
Can you tell me if I passed, or pull up my results?
We cannot — we have no access to your exam, your score, or your account. That information lives with ServSafe; sign in at servsafe.com or contact them directly. We know the wait for results is nerve-wracking, but we genuinely are not able to see them.
I think one of your practice questions is wrong.
Please tell us — this is one of the most valuable emails we get. Name the topic or paste the question stem, say which answer you expected, and why. We check it against current food-safety guidance and correct it if you are right (and explain if there is a subtlety worth keeping).
How much is the exam, and does my state require it?
We deliberately do not publish a fee or a state-by-state rule, because both are set by others and change: pricing and format come from ServSafe, and legal requirements come from your state or county. For the current fee check servsafe.com; for whether it is required where you work, ask your local health department. We would rather send you to the real answer than guess.
Can you help with the Food Handler, Alcohol, or Allergens course?
Those are separate ServSafe credentials, and this site is built only for the Manager (CFPM) exam, so we are not the right prep for them. For details on the other courses, servsafe.com is the place to look. If your goal is the Manager certification, though — you are exactly where you should be.
